Visit to I/B Oden & the Swedish Research Secretariat in Helsingborg harbour
All visitors have to provide the information requested in the form at least two weeks prior to the planned visit.
Access
By car
You will need to access the harbour via the main gates on the northern side, using the PIN code that you will receive via SMS. Please:
- turn on your hazard lights when driving in the harbour,
- do not exceed 30 km/h,
- do not drive through the large truck scales when entering the pier.
Parking will be along the road, east of the logistics facility of the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat. See map below. If you need to deliver goods to the ship, please contact us to arrange temporary parking on the pier.

By train
If you arrive by train, the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat can arrange pickup from Elite Marine Plaza Hotel, just outside the train station in Helsingborg. Make sure that you have communicated your travel plans and arrival time. Do not use taxi services to enter the harbour area.
Moving on the pier
It is imperative for everyone to wear a safety vest when walking on the pier and adjacent roads. Safety vests will be available on site.
