Accommodations and meals

Researchers, students and conference guests can stay at the station overnight and have their meals at our restaurant. Stay a single night or for a longer period of time, the choice is yours.

Summer Laboratory

Kristineberg’s most historicak building. It contains eight rooms: one single room, two double rooms, four triple rooms, and one quadruple room. All rooms have their own toilet. Shower rooms are located in the corridor.

Mässen

Our restaurant, which also offers accommodation on the upper floor. There are twelve double rooms with private toilets, as well as access to a shared kitchen and common room. Ten of the rooms have their own shower, while two rooms have access to shower rooms in the corridor.

The Annex

There are six small apartments here: a single-room apartment, two double-room apartments, one triple-room apartment, one four-bed apartment, and one five-bed apartment. All apartments have a kitchenette as well as a private toilet and shower. One of the apartments is accessibility-adapted and has a ground-level entrance, an accessible bathroom, and a flashing evacuation alarm. In one of the apartments, dogs are allowed.

Prefekten

Our bachelor and master students live in this villa while working on their theses. The villa has one single room and three double rooms. The residents share a kitchen, living room and bathroom.

Common areas

Everyone who stay overnight can access our sauna, and use our washing machines and drying room. Many of our bedrooms have desks, but you can also find workspaces in our library.

Our restaurant - Mässen

Mässen serves lunch five days a week with a view of the Gullmar fjord. There is also a communal area that can be used in the evenings and at weekends. We serve breakfast and lunch for pre-booked groups.

There is also a well-equipped kitchenette that can be used by those staying at the station who want to cook or heat their own food.

Public Transport

You can easily reach the center by public transport. Buses to Kristineberg stop in Fiskebäckskil, and you will need to walk the final stretch. There is also a passenger ferry between Fiskebäckskil and Lysekil. Ferry and bus schedules can be found at vasttrafik.se.
