The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat's logistics expedition DML 24/25 has now been completed, and the technicians have returned home after working at the Swedish research station Wasa in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica.

During the expedition, a number of important improvements and maintenance measures were carried out:

• Improved storage facilities. Two new containers were installed to create better storage options and structure material storage.
• The weather station was upgraded and serviced. A new solar panel was installed after the previous one was blown away during the winter.
• Vehicle maintenance. Repairs and service could be carried out in the newly built garage in a way that was not possible before.
• The ventilation system has been repaired after being broken for four years.
• Approximately nine tons of waste were hand-loaded into containers and transported to the coast for disposal.

The expedition participants were lucky with the weather and could carry out most of the outdoor work without significant obstacles. Once the major tasks were completed, the team focused on indoor work, such as electrical installations and cleaning, before the return trip. They have now ensured that the Wasa research station is ready for future expeditions. Planning now continues for the next Antarctic research expedition, iQ2300 2025/26.
