In times of waiting…

Wolf’s Fang Camp, Antarctica, 2 December 2025
On 1 December (fittingly on Antarctica Day), we, a group of eight people from the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat, flew down to Antarctica. After a long journey, we arrived in a magical landscape of snow and ice as far as the eye could see. Wolf’s Fang Camp is our first stop here in Antarctica, and we will now continue on to the German station Neumayer III, before finally landing at our Swedish station Wasa.
Right now, we are waiting for the weather to improve, both at the German and the Swedish station. While we wait for suitable flying conditions, we are doing everything we can to prepare for this year’s expedition. Now we are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather in the coming days, so that we can reach Wasa and open the station.
