R/V Skagerak Greenland 2025

From August 12–21, 2025, the research vessel R/V Skagerak will conduct an expedition to eastern Greenland together with the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat, the University of Gothenburg, the British Antarctic Survey, and the NERC Arctic Office. The purpose is to recover and redeploy an ocean mooring that was deployed by the British Antarctic Survey last summer as part of the KANG-GLAC project.

The expedition brings together Early Career Researchers (ECR) from northern Europe for field-based training focusing on climate change, glaciology, marine primary production, and nutrient cycling. By uniting young scientists from different disciplines, the program aims to lay the groundwork for future collaborations in polar research.
