Housed in tents pending better flying conditions

We arrived in Cape Town as planned and landed just before 11 am on Monday, 4th December. At 14.00 on the same day, we were informed we were to fly the next night.

We were picked up at 1:30 am and transported to the flight. We took off at four in the morning, and about five hours later, we landed in Antarctica, this time on Wolf's Fangs Runway.

Unfortunately, we could not fly on to our Swedish station due to worse weather along that flight route. Instead, we are accommodated in tents and must wait out the weather. The wind is around 20 m/s, and we will probably stay here another day.

So right now, we are waiting in our tents. They are nice, though, heated and even have Wi-Fi!

We eat in a big kitchen tent. We also made a study visit to a glacier crevasse; that's how you pass the time in Antarctica.

Greetings from Ola and the rest of the team!
