Accomodation at the station
In the main facility, we offer accommodation and a guest kitchen for visiting researchers and students. There are also laboratories, offices, workshops, lecture halls, greenhouses, experimental gardens, warehouses and a meteorological station. Outside the station area, there are five field cabins in different locations in Abisko.
The research station has a total of approximately 70 beds. Most rooms are twin and quadruple rooms, but there are also a limited number of triple rooms. In general, self-catering applies to food storage. At larger courses and conferences, catering from one of the suppliers in the area is often used. The nearest grocery store is in the village, about 1 km from the station. Wireless network is basically available over the entire station area.

Surroundings
Abisko Scientific Research Station is located in a nature reserve that borders Abisko National Park to the west. The nature reserve is set aside for research and consists, for the most part, of birch-clad moorland. Towards the border of Abisko National Park, the vegetation changes to meadow birch forest. In the part of the area that faces down towards Torneträsk, there are a couple of wetland areas.
