Are you planning a research expedition at sea in 2027? Researchers at Swedish universities and research organisations can now apply for funding for ship time aboard several of Sweden’s research vessels: KBV 181, Electra, Svea, Ocean Surveyor and Skagerak. Submit your application by 12 June 2026.
Applications are submitted via Marine Facility Planning. You can create an account here: Marine Facilities Planning. Select SWERVE as your host organisation when applying for your account. Once your account has been approved, you can begin your application. If you already have an account, you can proceed directly to the application.
Please note that these applications fall under SWERVE 2, which means that fuel costs are now included in the funding for ship time and are no longer covered by the principal investigator (PI).
Completed applications must be submitted no later than 12 June 2026.
