Follow the icebreaker Oden with Google Earth

1. Download the program Google Earth

Google Earth is a freeware that lets you watch satellite images from all over planet Earth, sometimes as close down as street level. It is a large program that demands a lot from your computer, but it is fascinating to fly around the world and see places you never will explore yourself. You might have difficulties using Gooogle Earth on desktop computers from 2002 and before, and on notebooks from 2004 and older. You can download Google Earth here.

2. Open the file that show icebreaker Oden's route in Google Earth

During SWEDARCTIC 2007 we will try out an application for Google Earth which enables you to follow the icebreakers route in the Arctic from back home. The application does not work yet, but during the summer of 2007 this page will be updated with the correct links. Until then, you might use the links below to check out the Oden's trip to Antarctica during the winter of 2006/07.
