Initial Environmental Evaluation

Environmental impact descriptions are an important part of the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat's environmental work. The ways in which research and overall expeditionary logistics will impact the environment during an expedition are assessed in these reports.

Tourist organisations and individual tourists must also prepare an environmental impact description prior to visiting Antarctica.
